Students who complete the tutoring program and follow the agreed study plan are guaranteed to improve their score from their starting diagnostic. The specific improvement threshold and refund mechanics are set in your engagement contract — we agree the target with you before you start, based on your diagnostic and your target programs. If the threshold isn't met, the tutoring fee is refunded under the contract terms.
We answer this for you at your first session, after a short diagnostic on each. Most students perform better on one or the other for predictable reasons — pacing, math style, reading length, comfort with science-passage logic. The diagnostic surfaces which you'd score higher on with the same hours of prep, and we plan around that.
Khan Academy is excellent for self-directed students who already know what to work on and have the discipline to do it daily. Quad is for students who need structure: a diagnostic-driven study plan, accountability through scheduled sessions with a specialist, full-length tests in the real interface, and a score report that says "work on these question types next." If you're already disciplined and improving on Khan, you don't need us.
